Here's the good news: We have a huge yard! Here's the bad news: It needs a lot of work! Lucky and I are dedicating our Spring Break to cleaning this space up the best we can. The original plan was for Lucky to build a fence over break, but we quickly realized that overgrown brush and lots of gnarly trees have to come out before that can happen. The amount of work is pretty overwhelming, but we'll see what we can do!

Fin says he would much prefer a fence to a tie out! Hurry up, Dad!

Quick shout out to our project manager, Brian King. Brian is doing great work for us and we really appreciate him. Plus, he has a Shar Pei which means he obviously has great taste! Mike sent us these pictures since it isn't really safe for us to go inside the house right now. It is COMPLETELY gutted - which means you could be in the basement and look straight up to the roof! Next step is leveling the floors.

Stopped by the house today to see how it's coming along. As you can see, they've made a lot of progress in just a few days! Our project manager expects that demo will be complete (inside and out) by mid next week. It has been very exciting to finally see our plans in action. I had secretly hoped the workers would find something incredible hidden away in one of the walls (huge stack of cash, antique anythings worth thousands, etc. etc.). No such luck, though. The removal of all this lathe and plaster has left us with, well - dumpsters full of lathe and plaster - and a lingering dusty smell that reminds me of the third floor of Roy O. library at DePauw (but much, much worse). It's a mess, but we're on our way!
