Gut job.

Mike sent us these pictures since it isn't really safe for us to go inside the house right now. It is COMPLETELY gutted - which means you could be in the basement and look straight up to the roof! Next step is leveling the floors.

Stopped by the house today to see how it's coming along. As you can see, they've made a lot of progress in just a few days! Our project manager expects that demo will be complete (inside and out) by mid next week. It has been very exciting to finally see our plans in action. I had secretly hoped the workers would find something incredible hidden away in one of the walls (huge stack of cash, antique anythings worth thousands, etc. etc.). No such luck, though. The removal of all this lathe and plaster has left us with, well - dumpsters full of lathe and plaster - and a lingering dusty smell that reminds me of the third floor of Roy O. library at DePauw (but much, much worse). It's a mess, but we're on our way!
